Jiangsu Yangtze River Delta Smart Water Research Institute (DSWI) is a new research and development institution that is jointly built by the state-level new district-Nanjing Jiangbei New District and Nanjing University of Information Technology. , Is the first batch of institutes joined by the national key technology platform-Yangtze River Ecological Civilization Innovation Center. The Institute was registered and established in 2018. It is known as the "Whampoa Military Academy" of Meteorology. Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology is committed to the integration of "production, study and research" and the transformation of scientific research results, serving the important exploration of local governments and national strategies. It is a collection of applied research, A comprehensive platform for technology research and development, industry incubation, international exchanges, talent training, and foreign engineering and consulting services. Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology authorized the Research Institute as the school's business unit for the transformation of the school's scientific and technological achievements into the market operation, and to manage the school's assets formed by the way of technology shareholding.


The institute is operated by a team of teachers, innovates the system and mechanism, adopts the "dual employment system" of business enterprises to introduce high-end talents at home and abroad as technical backbones, aims at major national and local water affairs and environmental issues, and develops water environmental sensors, calculation simulation software, and intelligence Process equipment and high-end equipment vehicles, and are committed to the industrialization of related technologies and products, serving the full life cycle management of the urban pipe network "planning, construction, and maintenance", and promoting the technological transformation and upgrading of the industry. The Institute and IKT (Institute for Underground Infrastructure) of Germany jointly built the "Sino-German Joint Urban Water 4.0 Laboratory", which has a 5000 square meter indoor smart water experiment and test platform and a 2.5 square kilometer outdoor pipeline network monitoring base. The institute has 5 research and development teams including software big data, urban hydrometeorology, sewage sludge treatment technology, intelligent robot and equipment integration, and trenchless technology. There are co-professors from many colleges of Nanxin University and well-known domestic and foreign More than 70 experts and scholars.
