On April 14, 2023, the 50th multi-country inspection and the establishment of the World Meteorological Organization Nanjing Regional Training Center were held at NUIST.

As a new research and development institution of NUIST, the Delta Water Institute showcased its software and hardware products at the Xiangfeng Pavilion of the China Meteorological Valley. The short-term forecast and urban flood prediction and early warning system, as well as the dual-channel level meter, etc., drew great interest and attention from foreign friends who visited the exhibition.
