On August 30, 2019, Liu Yi'an, chairman of the Municipal Committee of the CPPCC, along with Secretary-General Peng Zhenning, Director of the General Office of the CPPCC Xue Weiguo, and other officials, visited the site of the water environment improvement project in the southern part of the Jiangbei New Area, where the Changjiang River and the Nanhe River meet, to inspect the work carried out by DWI. They also visited the 4th and 5th storage tanks, which are integrated with the Nanhe River intake point, to check the construction and operation of the water environment improvement project in the R&D Park area.
